I called ford the other day trying to get them to do the ignition switch recall for me, but she said it's already been done to my car or isn't available for it. Now I guess I have to do it myself. I don't want to put the same piece of crap in it's place though, I want the part that ford used in the recall. I was just curious if this is the right part? 50resto.com Ignition Switch

The problem I was having was my signal lights wouldn't work unless I jiggled my key a certain way, and now they've stopped working completely. So if I have the wrong part, and somebody has a part # for me then please help out. Thanks. Any other tips regarding this would also be appreciated.

The recall was for potential fire hazard, not for signal lights not working. Your car probably did have the recall done already, but this switch has gone bad now.

You will not be able to buy a switch that is pre-recall -- that would defeat the purpose of doing it at all. Purchase a new switch, fix your problem, and don't worry about it.

Oh okay. I was told that the one's they sell in some parts stores are the old plastic cheap versions, and to stay away from them because that's what was originally in there. Thanks.

I can't speak for all the parts stores -- but even if some were missed when pulling from shelves, by this late in the game they should all be gone. WHat you are buying now would most likely be a reproduction (50Resto) and would be an updated version.
