Ignition Switch Removal tool???

What is the tool required to remove the Ignition switch. It has a star but it has a Piece of metal in the middle like a ,nipple.. yah a nipple....

Ya, it's a type of torx driver. I had to buy a set for $30 at the local parts shop.

it's called a torx-tamper proof.

I don't remember there being anything like that....

You put the key in, turn it, and push a little button like thing on the bottom of the steering casing, and pull it out.

The kind of screw you are talking about are called "tamper proof torx"

your talking about the lock cylinder only,he's talking about the ignition switch itself.

tamper proof torx like they said, size is 27 and napa sells bits for like 2 bucks that you can put in a 1/4 inch nut driver or wrench or whatever.
