Ignition Switch

I have a 1991 LX 5.0 convertible. I want to replace the ignition switch. Is it difficult to replace and will I still use the existing key for the ignition.

My turn signals will NOT work unless I touch the key cylinder slightly when the car is running!!

Would this be the ignition switch?

It's most likely the ignition switch, but not the lock/key cylinder like you're thinking. The ignition switch is an electrical assembly located below the key cylinder, behind the steering column shroud. Check out the link to get an idea of what is required. It's not a difficult job.
