igntion timing

I finally got my car back together and running with my E cam. I set the timing at 10 degrees as a base line and it will barely idle. If I bump it 14 degrees it idles better. My question is where will I get the most power. I dont have many performance mods, except pulleys, bored .030 over, milled heads, full exhaust...any help is greatly appreciated

seems like most people on here have the best luck at 14* but others went a lot higher.. I would say somewhere between 14 and 18*

Probably 14* with iron heads though.

Yeah, 14* seems to be the magic number for stangs w/iron heads. Just don't forget that you'll need to use 93 octane gas, not regular 87, or you will probably have pinging problems.
