IHI Turbo question.

Ok I know there small but how small exactly?

I was thinking about that if I came accrost a 2.3Turbo motor with an IHI is it possable to take the exhaust side and mate it with say that of a t3 compreson(?) housing.

If I typted it up right it would be a small turbo but still force more air, better spool plus more air than an IHI but spool faster than a T3.

is it possable or are my drunken thoughts mixed up?

They won't mate up for that. If you want a quick spooling T3, get a .48 housing instead of the .63.

wont mate like he said i have both of those turbos.... the IHI i read somewhere is good for 300 hp not sure if that was true does anyone know ... then i read somewhere else areound only 240

Well so much for that idea, thanks guys.

Whats a good size turbo for a DD and for good lowmid-top end power?

t3/t4? I wouldent mind getting a holset of some sort but not sure which one would work well.

its gonna be a street car most of its life but want to atleast pull 135mph on the hiway(areodinamics will be taken car of to do that).

Stock T3...my LX has been over 135mph according to my GPS and it's got a mildly modded 2.3T with stock T3 turbo.

how quick was the spool up?

I plan on doing weekend road racing and was hopeing that it might still be good enought at the low end?
