I'm confused

What is an AOD and a AODE?
also, whats the differance between the two?

AOD was the auto used in the fox body stangs
AODE was the auto in the 94-98 stangs
4R70W is the auto in the 99-04 stangs

AODE was 94-95 mustangs and the 4R70W started in 1996.
