im going to shoot my tranny....help!

alright, i have to get the top off plate off of my tranny to re seal it before i put it back in. i got the bolts out, but i cant get the top plate off, and when i went to rebolt it back, it wouldnt line up, any ideas will be helpfull. thanks

to take the top plate off you must first take off the tailshaft housing. first unbolt the shifter then punch out the small roll pin on the shifting block, then you can pull off the tailhousing. then the top plate will come off by sliding it towards the side and then lift up. :SNSign:

You might want to have a tranny guy take a look at it before you put it back in. I've heard of people not aligning the forks properly, and when they go to shift, it chews things up.....
