Hello! Ok I have several questions.
1. I have a MSD 6AL Ignition Module and an MSD Blaster 2 Coil and cannot figure out how to tie that into the stock wiring. Its been a long time since I've had all the origanal stuff out and cannot remember which wire go where. Also its hard for me to figure out what things in the MSD kit I need to use and not to use as far as wireing, ballast resister etc. Also there is a stock Voltage Regulator and an Electronic Ignition Amplifier Module. I have no idea what these 2 things do let alone if I will be needing one or bolth of them when using my MSD 6AL Ignition Module.

2. I also have a Powermaster 140 amp Alternator. This has the option of running a one wire hook up or three wire. I am clueless on which wires have to hook up to that. The origanal Alt looks like it had a plug that hooked up to it and that was it. And that plug only has two wires attatched to it.

3. As for the Starter. I am running a stock Starter and am wondering how many wires go to it. I for sure know the wire from the one side of the Starter Relay goes to it. But I'm pretty sure on the Starter there was spots to put two or maybe three wires.

4. I also cannot figure out which wires are used for the stock Oil Pressure Sending Unit and Water Temp Sending Unit.

Hopefully that wasn't to much to ask for all at once. Thanks you guys are great.

I forgot

It is probably important to say that I have an MSD distributor also. So I will not be using the stock wiring for that either. And I have no idea which wires would have gone to that anyways.

wiring

I used a Msd 6a and a mallory dist.
I removed the stock amplifier.
If your msd is new enough it should show how to wire it uo using either the msd and dist, or the msd dist and stock amplifier.
If you do romove the amp. only the red wire from the ignition switch is required for the msd. Only use the resistor if the dist is required to have only 9 volts.
Wire the alternator as you would any older vehicle using the stator and field if necessary.
If you use the stock dist. with the big cap, you have to combine the two wiring schematics from 'with the stock dist' and 'without the stock amplifier'
I've done it both ways and all it takes is following the diaghrams.

good luck

The (alt) and (oil/water senders/coil horseshoe) have their own harnesses that plug into the main harness

An OE 302 starter only has a battery cable to it. The other wiring is at the relay on the apron.

wireing

Ok thanks guys. Now I know I will not be needing that Amplifier, which is a big help. I can get all that wireing out of there. I found that for my Alt I will only need to run one wire from the + side of the battery and that is it for the one wire hook up. So that makes things easier, I can get rid of the stock wireing for that to. One wire to the Starter, piece of cake.

Now I need to just figure out which wires go to the Oil Pressure and Temp Sending units. I see a black wire with maybe an orange spottings around it, and a blueish or purple color on that side.Anyone know which one goes where off hand?

And as far as tieing in the red wire from the MSD 6AL Ignition Module for the ignition. Anyone know which wire may be the ignition wire in the engine bay. Is it one of the wires that get bolted onto the Relay? Besides the thick red and black wires on the big screws on each side of the Relay there is one wire on the positive side and there is one lil wire on one of the small prong on the front of the Relay.

As far as the ground goes from the cable off the - side of the battery where do you guys have yours screwed to?
