i'm losing oil

If you don't have that plate. Live with filling it up with oil every other day. Otherwise I suggest you fix it. It'll only make it easier if you fix it. Its just the blower and lower intake, doesn't take but a few hours. If you run a smaller tube, all that pressure that is trying to escape will build up and then you're just risking your motor after that. Just fix it if thats the problem.

Ya know i've had this same problem since i did my heads ? So i'm thinking i have bad valve seals? The heads are used worked over e7's and i'm not sure on the milage? My bottom end has only 53xxx on it now and i have always ran synthic oil ever since 30xxx miles. But this issue just started after the head swap. So how hard is it to replace the valve seal's and any articals on how to? Or will a haynes manual show me? Or should i just put the stock 7's back on? It's really inbarasing haveing a very nice stang with low milage but smokes when started. peace

thinking the problem was solved, i drove it pretty hard this morning taking my son to his track meet. it was pulling hard and seemed to be running great, but when we got off the highway, i discovered that it was smoking.

there was oil all over the back of the engine on the driver's side, on the transmission and exhaust, all the way back to the exhaust. the passenger's side dry.

i suspect it is coming out of the lower near the corner where the valley, from here:

i probably didn't put enough RTV in the corner when i installed it. :bang:

the wierd thing is my oil level hadn't gone down hardly at all, so i checked the blower oil level, which was 100% fine.

Yeah the problem I was having was the oil from the blower was disappearing. On start up I had black oil condensation splattering out of my pipes on start up. When under boost the oil would leave a spray on my back bumper. I determined that the blower was causing all of these problems b/c my motor yet beaten was still strong. I took off the KB and it stopped.

These were the symptons I had. If the oil level is fine in the blower then you're good.
If you don't use enough rtv on the lower intake for the end seals or there is a bubble in it then it will leak like a mofo under boost. Use some black rtv silicone.

oh. i didn't realize it was acting like that the whole time you had it. i thought you had it for a while and then it went south.

i'm going to ask my mechanic to take care of it this time. it is going in on monday. i don't have the time right now to do it all again.
