I have a 04 GT does it have the PI intake and heads on it already, and is there any quik and easy performance mods that can be done by just turnig a few screws and not haven to buy any parts,I just put a cold air intake and an xpipe with dynomax mufflers it helped big time!!

Every motor from 99 through 04 has the PI heads and intake. You can buy a handheld tuner to get some more horsepower, or change the rear-end gears for better acceleration. If you do a search on here, I'm sure you'll find a ton of threads on beginning modifications.

Yes, 99+ Mustang GT's allready have the PI intake, cams, and heads.

As far as quick performance mods, no not really.

Your best bet is to save up some cash and swap your gears out for a more favorable ratio (3.73's, 3.90's, 4.10's). They will make a big difference.

I think non PI is pre '99 models.Im not real sure what year it changed but 04 is the PI.As far as quick no cost mods for power I dont believe there is any...gotta pay to play....Now if you want best bang for the buck I would say do gears. It doesnt give more power but you feel the difference.

Other than that most others will prob say LT headers,or s/c.I have basically the same type of mods as you except I have Flowmaster Super 44's with only the stock H pipe,K&N filter,Tri ax short throw shifter, and a restrictor plate for the IAC for better throttle response and quicker idle down. The only other things I wanna do 1st would be a high flow H,4.10 gears, maybe a 1"drop(machs are already 1/2"lower than GT's) and some LT headers later on.

96-98 are non pi engines 99-04 are PI. next i would get some kind of tuner (recomend sniper) and a 70mm throtle bodie and plenum if you plan on staying n/a. if you plan on supecharging at some point get the 75mm. if you really want a fast car get yourself a supercaharger like vortech or kenne bell.

gears, upper intake, 75mm throttle body, cold air intake, underdrive pullies, timing adjuster, X pipe. All of these parts listed should cost you no more than 200$ and you should be able to put in yourself, on a saturday morning

Gears should be at the top of your list. You will feel a good bit of difference in performance at the upgrade. Don't fear the gear. I was concerned about highway driving with my 4r70w originally; I'm happy with my 3.73's. Personally I feel 4.10's are a bit much for an auto but good for the 5spd. Get the FRPP gears, they mesh well and don't whine bad. Don't wast your time with the 3.55's...not worth it.

If you have an automatic get a good high stall torque converter.

The Pro50 shifter is a good upgrade for the 5spd cars. A guy I know has one in an older SN95 with the T5 and I liked it.

if its a 5speed then yes sniper but if its an auto SCT is what you should get. sniper has issues with controlling the trans functions of the 4r70w.

Since when ? Sniper has access to all the same parameters (even the transmission) that the SCT software does
