I'm sanding down the stang! Question

Yea, I think I'm gonna do that panel with spray primer, and possibly finish the rest of the car with the epoxy primer. Then go back and do that panel in epoxy too.

I took the stang to get a new patch panel welded in and I'll have it back tommorrow morning. I'm gonna take pics and post them up here. I also went ahead and bought a quart of the epoxy primer and activator and had a quick question, does it act as a sealer in addition to a primer or do I need to seal the metal as well? Thanks, just trying to get things straight before I got ahead and prime it!

The epoxy primer is plenty. Spray it and you will be good to go.

epoxy primer can be a sealant as well. the high build primer is probably more so the stuff you block out and stuff...

Glad to hear you had a patch panel welded in. I just caught this thread and can't believe people suggested welded that rust shut! It would have rusted through from underneath very soon.

Cool thanks! I still haven't gotten the car back, I've had it there since Tuesday, grrr. He keeps telling me he'll have it done by the end of the day, but no dice yet. He tells me my car is bringing him a ton of business so he hasn't had enough time to finish it off, I don't know how true that is...but if so I want a cut! Anyway, its prolly also due to the weather here, its turned cold and raining since yesterday and he has a primarily an outdoor shop. It sucks though since school starts tuesday.... Oh well, I'll post pics whenever I get it back.
