Hi,

Last weekend I bought one JL Audio 12W3v2-D4 12 inch(300W, Dual 4 ohm) sub and a GM-7150M Pioneer Premier mono power amp( info: 500W x 1,4 ohm/800W x 1,2 ohm Max power; 250W x 1,4 ohm/360w x 1,2 ohm).

They recommend with going 23" x 14" x 10" box. This is the box size that I'm planning on going with but, I need to know if I'm going to need a capacitor. Once I built the box, how should I put the carpet on the box? Can I use a staple gun on it? Also what would be the best way to wire it to my stang?
Sorry, if these questions are stupid but this is an area that I have no knowledge on. If you need any more info just PM.

Thanks,
Max

Hmmm...lots of questions. Well first off, yes you can staple the carpet to the box once its built. As for the capacitor, they are kinda useless. I mean, some people love them, but its not really gonna cure a dimming problem (which is why most people get them). I would say, hook everything up, and then if your lights are dimming bad, then get an optima yellow top battery. Dont waste the time/money with the cap.

If this is your first time wiring a sub/amp setup then you may want to look at some tutorials over at www.sounddomain.com or www.crutchfield.com. If you need any help with the wiring after looking at the sites then just let me know.
