I'm stuck yet again!

Ok soo now since I am going to be doing the fog lights rewire tomorrow I might as well go ahead and take out the ashtray light bulb. The reason I am doing this is b/c I put in the AFM switch panel... now when the headlights are on of course I can see the ashtray light being on as well. I want it off or out of there...Sooo how do I do that? I figured it would be a 5 second thing... NOT!!!!! lol

From looking at mine it looks like you have to take the console off.

I didn't check, but you may be able to get to that with just the shifter boot off, maybe. Otherwise take out the console. It only takes a few mins to get out.

- Remove shifter knob (you got a manual, right?)
- Remove shifter boot. Carefully pry up with hands, remove lighter wires.
- Open console lid to console compartment.
- Remove rubber plugs for the console lid.
- Remove phillips screws.
- Remove console compartment.
- Remove 2 bolts/screws in bottom where the console compartment was. They are hex and torx, whichever you prefer
- Remove 2 bolts/screws in front connecting console to the dash.
- Lift parking brake lever.
- Disconnect harness underneath where the console compartment was.
- Wiggle out console.
- Vacuum carpet underneath!

I think that's right....
