I had a customer score an Extrude Honed Cobra upper and a stock stock Cobra lower which he had sent to me so I could clean up the upper (guy stripped and started to grind for polishing but left it 3/4 done) and port the lower. He got it on ebay for $167 + shipping.

The upper did not even have all the casting flash removed by the EH, so I highly question how much additional flow was realized. I have pictures.

I'm waiting for my tax return to come in on the 17th and will see what kind of deal I can get out of this for the cobra intake. A intake swap shouldnt be to difficult but I havent decided to do it myself or not.

RC. The intake is extrone hone upper and lower is ported and gasket match with a few other things, its had a lot of work done to it just cant remeber everything the shop owner told me about it. Also I can have it powercoated but I didnt get a price on that yet. I just wanted to see what you guys thought.

Thanks

IMO, the Cobra "MUST" be polished....that thing looks so nice polished with the Cobra plate painted to match the engine scheme.

tmoss, I found the ebay link, would this be a good intake to buy or does it still need some work done to it. The upper is extrude honed and the lower is ported to match the gasket right?

you could get it coated a reflective chrome color..... looks similar to alum. i am partial....lol

ON the intake, i would offer him 600$ installed.... but i would at least look at it, and make sure it met a certain quality work wise, before i paid that...

Looks good to me - but I wish there was a pic of the lower runners. That intake may bid up in the last few seconds - but hopefully not too high for you. I can't believe Vince scored his for $167 for both pieces.

powdercoating was a option they suggested to me, I would rather not spend that much and really dont want to spend anymore than $600.
I like the style of the 94-95 cobra intakes over the aftermarket ones because it doesnt have the elbow adapter. Guess I'll be sanding it down and painting it or something and installing it to lol

RIO, Jason lives a pretty good distance away from me about 4hrs or so.
