okay bad driver/street tires/tight suspension=13.118@107mph with 2.051 60' best run.
I figure with more practice, drag radials/wheels, lca's,alum driveshaft=12.5,12.6 waddya think?

mid 12 second car with traction, low 12s possible with suspension mods and good driving. the previous owner of my car went 13.2 @ 108 with a 2.2 60' on his first and only ever pass down the track. said he was granny shifting too. only mods are the Mongoose kit and 3.73s with 18" rims/tires.

Traction out of the hole is non existent, 2nd gear is only moderately better. grrr....tg the season is almost over...gives me a lot of time to save up for all the crap I need to run well next year!
Thanks Helty...its good to have an idea of what to expect

like I said, his first and only ever trip down any track, granny shifting, and he beat an 04 Cobra with a 2.2 60'.

http://media.putfile.com/1stlastonlydragrace

Not saying I will do any better my first time down the track with it, but theres at least .5-.7 left in it as is.

im not calling it a cobra killer, but neither car was driven to its full potential. Just making the point that they're ( Mongoose equipped 2V's) mid-12 second cars if driven well.

The ability for guys that run dyno's to do that with the load calculator is the reason I have zero faith in dyno numbers from anyone. I prefer weight and trap speeds to calculate hp.

Should be easy 12.5 on drag radials ASSUMING that you can drive. I ran a 12.56@108 with my MT et street radials and SUPER stiff cobra suspension - so stiff I had to granny shift into second and third or else I would spin w/ the whole no weight transfer thing! Also I was only running a 3.55 gear, and it sorta sucked cause I shifted into 4th about 300RPM too early because I was nervous as the guy behind me was closing in (he ran a 12.4 but my superior launching skrillz left me winning by .3 hah).

With the solid axle i'm swapping in (MM XD control arms, panhard bar, coilovers - torque arm later this winter) I'm hoping for 12.0's on DR's and 11.5's on slicks.

Heh yeah, somebody with 100% otherwise stock GT ran 11's with just base mongoose kit and slicks. It's over on MPH somewhere! Anway, I ran 12.77@112 on 245/45/17 street tires

2.0's on street tires, 1.8's on drag radials (not so great, i blame it on the stiff suspension we'll see in a few weeks though)... My reaction times are pretty good though, .020 is my average, few times dipped down to .001 though

If I had enough traction to be able to powershift into and out of second I figure that would help me a few tenths. And if I had more gear I could stay in the power band when shifting into 4th a bit easier, instead of having to nearly hit the rev limiter in third lol
