What’s up good folks of the inter webs. Got one for you. When I bought my Cobra 20yrs ago it had a anti theft device on it. It’s in the dash. It’s just a “key” really just a circuit board with a plastic cover. I knew it’s just a circuit connector for 4 thing. My question is has anyone seen this kind before. It says Immobiliser on the “key”. One key is duck taped together and the other one is starting to wear out it’s sliver parts. Just trying to get some new “keys”. And a headliner if someone knows someone I can’t seam to be able to find the opel gray vinyl for the sunroof cars thanks in advance

I have seen one like that. My moms 94 escort GT had something similar when it was new. It was an Ignition kill. They installed it under the dash where it was not as visible though. I took it out when I installed an alarm. I still have it somewhere.

Have you looked to see if any of these are compatible?

Edit: Nevermind... I can't find one that's 8-pin either.

Another thought that occurs to me is that even if you have new-ish keys, the connector on the female side is going to be just as burned. Might be time to pull the whole deal and replace it with a switch.

If you can find it. And the key looks the same with the 8 pin. I’m would like to get the keys from you. If possible.
It’s a different brand than yours. Key is smaller like the Amazon one. And the key I have is dealer/lot boy key. Does not have the led light that you got if you purchased the ignition kill system when you bought the car. Led was used to help plug it in when dark. They would remove it the system if you chose not to pay the extra. Funny seeing one of these things again after all these years.

It was getting hot. So pulled out female hub and just connected those two wires back together. It was to much voltage for that little plastic parts On that wire. I think it was the fuel pump circuit. I’m concentrating just taking it out all together if I can’t find something close. The link you put might be ok. I’ll check it out. Thanks

If it still has a conventional key, what would be the harm in just plugging thins thing in and leaving it? That would stop the wear issue.
That’s how I’ve been using it ever since I’ve had. I was just looking to see if anybody knows of a replacement “card”. If it :poo:s the bed I’ll just reconnect all the wires and call it a day.
