Impact Absorber Replacement?

Hi all,

I'm almost to the "mod" stage with my car. I have finished all mechanical repairs and now I am beginning the body work. I'm just curious to see if anyone has replaced an impact absorber and if so, what troubles did you run into?

I like to do my own work on my car, simply because 1) I enjoy it and 2) I have had issues in the past with mechanic shops working on my vehicles.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Are you talking about in the bumper areas?

Yeah, I'm not sure if we're talking about bump stops or if we're talking about bumper shocks.

The suspension bump stops are easy enough to get, I think. LRS, etc...

I don't think I've ever seen a "new" set of bumper shocks though. Even looking now (that I'm thinking about it), all I see are used pieces and a few refurbished pieces.

This might be a job for @Davedacarpainter . He seems to have taking a liking to refurbishing old Fox parts. I smell another "How To" coming.

They have the absorbers and instructions. Seems pretty straightforward.
