important air bag question

my air bag light seemed to blink one time, then go solid

what does this mean?

i am going to run out and check it real quick, and then take the code off, but i want to make sure I am not heeding a warning.


edit, checked, it blinks 6 times, and then one time, then goes solid.

bump. i cleared the code, it didn't come back on, but I would still like to know what the problem was if someone could send me a site or something to diagnose what that was. or if someone knows from experience.
