Even with 8 car lengths lead and no nitrous the civic still gets smoked by about 3 car lengths...

Okay, i'll be honest, this was the first time i've ever watched pinks, so please, someone explain something to me...

why after the first race does someone else get a head start over the other car?

isn't the point of it to have the faster car? but if someone is racing a shorter distance... wtf!?

i watched it on wendesday.

wow thats the whole episode you got there.

what do you expect. the trans am has a 396 stroker, AFR heads, intercooled procharger, and nitrous.

the civic was on street tires, with a stock motor and 20 psi turbo. the driver was 20 years old too

the trans am team had to give the civc 20 car lengths, no nitrous, and the civic could switch to slicks. i would of been pissed when i saw that civic starting to stage up with out the bumpers. that wasnt part of the deal.

either way the civic lost.

its amazing what nitrous can do to compensate for the no 3rd gear lol

they give them car lengths to try to even out the playing field. to give the weaker car a chance.

There's two things you give during a race...the othe side of the road and an ass whoping to go with it. 20 cars is alot to give when your car is on the line, especially switching to slicks and finding the cut boost line.

Asking for 20 length was just shamefull if you ask me. That was a good episode. I just busted out laughing when I saw it was a blown TA the civic never had a chance in the world.

LOL typical panzy ricers. WTF kind of race is it if the other car has 20 car lengths. Might as well be getting ur dick sucked at the line and have the girl finish before you're allowed to go.

Civic driver had to lose the front and rear bumper to make up for his fatass.

lol i forgot about the cut boost line. how could they actually accuse the T/A team of cutting it. "i just replaced it yesturday" LOL go back to kindergarden.

it was funny when team T/A asked if it gets good gas milage when he won it.

i would of beat the **** out the civic when i took it down the track after i won it. pistons through the hood and all

If you ask me, it was stupid to still give car lengths on the 4th race. The civic had a strong run once they found the "cut" line, and held the start advantage. So the better race 4 would have been even up on the line with no nitrous. Teh way thay ran it, it was a given that the civic would take that one.

See! That's absolutely ridiculous, why give car lengths?
isn't it a race?
if he can't compete then don't bother.

Ugh, that show sucks.

Good point. But consider this, following your suggestion. It's a half an hour show. If one car kicks the crap out of the other in the first race, is anyone going to continue watching the rest of the show?

They have to throw in some kind of variable to keep the drama alive.

I wonder how many excuses they give over on the import forums while that's posted lol. At the end of the PINKS season, they should have a special episode showing what the winners wind up doing with the losers cars. I do think though that for a show like that they should be way more street oriented than those. The Civic drivers little buddy was way too mouthy for me he needed a bitchslap.

I dont want to get into the forbidden subject. But that type of negotiating happen out there in the middle of the night for money or even just pride. It is a way of leveling the playing field there are a bunch of different negotiating technique A good st***t racer is a good negotiating one a bad negotiation or lack of knowledge of your opponents mods can cost you the win...

:topic: 20 lengths is gay after seeing that T/A

I watched the show once when my bro-in-law told me the two white notchbacks were racing....I enjoyed watching the two pull the tires.......
What I didn't like.....
Watching the bull@#$# negotiating....
Watching them give car lengths......and having the host drop his hands...
Why don't you give them a few test runs......
and let the staging light do the rest....just like bracket racing.........just me .02

well i guess so, but it's still pretty stupid.

in honesty, like i've never seen the show before... i would have thought they would have a couple of races in a 30 minute show... why just showcase one race? i got bored after their first dual.. why not have like a clip of each guy talking about their car... then race.

next...
and then next...
go through like 4 guys in 30 mins, bam...
that's actually how i thought it was going to be.
the fact that there's only 1 showdown per episode is dumb.
