In a rush and need info on tires.

My rear right tire blew out and I need to know if Nitto 245/50/16s will be good enough to keep traction in my 1st gear.

HCI combo, 3.73s all bolt ons and a lot of frontend weight reduction. battery relocated too.


I want to get 255s but the guy says nitto doesnt make 255 for a pony rim. I do a lot of highway driving so the MT ET streets are not an option.

What should i expect from the 245 nittos?

i just put an order for the tires, 245/50/16s im gonna pick em up on monday.. I just hope they will make a difference.

they will if they are drag radials.
if they are nt555's...........it would depend on if your other tires were bricks or now........they are all i run on stangs fwiw (other than nitto dr on the back sometimes).....

As far as best tire goes, you need to give us more information. Such as where you live to determine winter weather, and if the car is a DD or not.
