Damn, $50!!! I think the one I got was about $15. Blue rubber 1 piece for a 89' 5.0. Fit my Milidon pan perfect. I also agree on those studs. Great idea but I had to pull my pan back off after I broke two off into it. I didnt have to unhook anything but my motor mounts to jack the motor up over my rack unit.

I noticed that www.50resto.com sells a $15 one piece for fox stangs...I wonder if it's the same thing they are selling for $50 for the classics?

that's a good question. i'd like to know myself, because $50 for the 1 piece fel pro is somewhat ridiculous

I'd like to know too. When i had my '89 GT, I got an SCE 1-piece pan gasket from Summit and it was about $30. I found out the hard way with the '68 that they aren't exactly reusable. I changed that one under the car and it took me maybe an hour.

5.0 Fox3s are known for being a huge PITA on changing pan gaskets.

I used black rtv to hold mine in place, then put the oil pan on... We'll see how well it comes off. It doesn't leak though.

Well, I put about 100 miles on the car with no leaks. Then suddenly yesterday, it started hemorraging oil out the back of the pan somewhere. I haven't had time to get it jacked up and and get a good look yet.

Very strange that it would do this after 100 miles...it seems like it would leak right away if the seal wasn't good. Has anyone had this happen before?

I also had to disconnect the drag link from the idler to get enough clearance. It also still leaks. $##$$#

Me 3. I used permatex black with fel-pro seals (not cork) and had no leaks.
