I'm one of the many impulse modders. I have some knowledge of our cars but never really took the time to research what the best mods are. Aside from power adders, PI heads(pre 99) and cams what really moves our cars.

View attachment 525555 So if you will, please list in order what mods someone should get to increase HP/TQ numbers. Please include price and HP/TQ numbers if known.

Thanks!!

P.S. Yes, I'm looking for my next mod.

I was thinking the Nitrous Express ''NX'' wet kit or Extreme Energy Comp Cams ''XE274H''? Which one would you think is a better investment?
I would say NX. That is by far the best bang for the buck. I myself was considering a Dry kit and will be talking to the guys at Bottle Blown racing this week since they specialize in giveing cars the giggles. Cams are also a good investment and if I can find someone to buy my cams, I'll be getting another set (my car has bolt on cams and the ones I have are press on).

Full bolt on's with Nitrous, I think would be best with our cars, you know our heads flow like crap, just get Longtubes and a mid pipe, pullies, t/a, plenum and t/b. so if anything, we can swap those parts over to a lower mileage 99+ motor just in case. I don't think I would touch anything internally with our pre 99 heads, it's just not worth the money...Get the Nitrous... :D

Going to Bottle Blown Racing tomorrow for a tune and to talk about giveing my car the giggles :D

obviously --NX is the easy way out...but i think you would really benefit from the TB and Plenum, judging from your other mods...
:D
and muffler bearings....
I need a Plenum like NOW. I'm going tomorrow night for my Dyno and don't have one yet.

Yeah, the whole muffler bearings still has me puzzled. :rlaugh:
