I have serched through may posts lookin at frame repair for classic mustangs.I understand they are a unibody car and alignment may be compromised.I am looking for opinion on what would work better. I can get my hands on an entire inner front clip for my 1970 mustang.I picked it up for $600 bucks dropped from $2200 cause the owner backed into it with his truck(need new door skin, replace glass, and fix rear quarter.)the fame rail are shot front and rear. I already have the rear rail to put in.This front clip i can get for $500 has everything from the firewall forward(not including the firewall) including the torque boxes. I know a few of the members here say pass on the car and pay more for one in better condition. Why i bought this car you ask? I have wanted one since i was 12(am now 27) It was for sale 2 mins around the corner and bought it a week b4 my birthday, My own present to myself LOL.Even the Fiancé was happy about it even though we are trying to save for a house. My Main question is which would be better? Replace the frame rails individually then the fender aprons or get the entire inner front clip and replace it all at once?Either way any help woul be great.

PS. Sorry about writing the book. Figured id give a little background info LOL.

I'm not referring to matching numbers in the traditional sense of correct engine or something like that, but rather to legally passable serial numbers. If you've got one number on the dash and another on the front aprons of the new clip, you may have big problems at the DMV depending on how thorough they are where you're from.

From what your saying it sounds like there is a number stamped somewhere other than the plate on top of the fender aprons?if this is the case what numbers are supplied if i was to buy individual parts and welded them together. Not trying to be wise i am just uneducated in these matters, and i really appreciate all the help you guys have been so far.
