Here's what I'm putting on the car right now: Tokico Advanced Handling Kit (contains springs that drop 1.5" on a GT and Tokico blues shocks/struts) and MM 4 bolt C/C plates. This is on my Mach 1.
The MM directions for a lowered car say to set the spacers up so that you raise the top of the strut shaft by the same amount that you have lowered the car (I'm guessing this is so that you tune the shock into its correct operationg range). The Mach is supposedly .75" lower than a GT so with the new springs the car should theoretically be .75" lower than it was beforehand. Following the directions, I should use the spacers to raise the strut shaft .75".
My question is this: Since the Tokico struts and springs are supposedly tuned to work together at the ride height that the springs give it, should I follow the directions that MM has set for lowered cars, or should I follow the spacing directions for stock ride height cars?
