I'm needing to buy carpet for my 77 and I'v heard that some carpet is too short and others are too long. I would rather have the too long carpet or just right. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Well... what I think they mean is that most carpets out there are for the Coupes and do not have the extra material required for the Fastback cars to cover the rear cargo area. Some places advertise that 'rear' piece a seperate item you need to purchase along with the regular set.
I have yet to buy a new carpet for a II (I need one for my fastback) but have bought carpets for other rigs of mine from ACC (auto custom carpets) and have been very pleased with them.

The carpet I ordered was too short where the door sill plate gets attached. I'm not sure if there is a vendor with the correct length in this area or if it is just the same manufacturer with some inconsistent manufacturing techniques.

I felt that my ACC carpet was a little short in the door area.

DMoody where did you order your carpet from?

Thanks everyone else for the heads up on ACC.
Has anyone ordered from RockAuto?

Try this site. I find if you keep the discription simple like "1974-1978 Ford" it will find you some II's
