In Your Opinon...

In your opinion what would you go with
kenne bell blow/flowzilla s/c
centrifigal s/c
single turbo set up (T 76)
or
NA built 347
I have a 88 gt with a paxton on it right now but need to replace the engine. I am just trying to see what everyone else thinks. Any how I would be getting a new block with a 347 stroker. Just need your opinion in which set up I shoudl go with.

If you're getting a 347 to start with, I'd definitely want the turbo. Especially for the street. Very stealthy. A high CR 347 will be heard for blocks away, but a turbo 347 would be a nice sleeper.

Go to the track and watch the SSO races. When 2 turbo cars run, the loudest thing is the burnout :D

i personally like the blowzilla.. seen a few cars witht hose, and wow... the whine is incredible, and the power as well.. but like said before, if ur starting with a 347, work on that. if not then go turbo. My friend told me to go turbo, and make the engine produce the most torque at low rpms, so at high rpms the turbo will do most of the work.

I just recently got the car, so I am simply only doing research right now. Soon I am going to fall upon some money so this is why I am asking right now. I was only looking at a 331 or 347 possibly turn key but now I am contemplating building it myself. I was also looking at 331 or 347 with after market block because I do not want to work with a stock block. I am hoping for around 500rwhp. I love the whine of the kenne bell but have not heard to much about them. Are they worth the money? As for turbos would a single t-76 be enough power. I have not heard to much about turbos either, I have only seen a couple cars on video with it. The car would be weekend fun and track use primarily.
Thanks for the input and keep it coming, I need everyones opinion.
Thanks

Go with the turbo on a 331/347. Well I would say reuse the Paxton (cheaper), but if you upgrade, go ahead and do it right and put a turbo on there. Your car should be light enough to get moving, you should have the takeoff plenty covered if you can hook.

are there any other roots blowers for a 5.0? I have not done to much research on this subject, but if anyone knows post it here.
Thanks

Kenne Bell is a positive displacement s/c just like the Roots, but it's a twin screw design rather than roots. Dunno if there is any though, I wouldn't have a roots type, compared to a KB.
