I am looking to increase the power in my V6 auto. I have a few ideas that I want to go through with, but I don't know if I can just use these ideas without having to add anything else.

1. K&N cold air intake- fuel injection performance kit, generation 2

2. Flowmaster Dual Exhaust

3. Superchip performance chip

If anyone has any suggestions or ideas I would really appreciate it. Thanks

SilverV6Stang:

The CAI, Flows and chip are all great ideas but won't rate you much hp. As far as the chip goes, it is generally considered "too early" to get a chip until (at a minimum) you get all the basic bolt on mods (the two you noted included). Do a search on here for "upgrades or mods" you'll have plenty to look at, and get an idea on what you want.

Good luck.

Get a flash tuner rather than a chip. It's more versatile and does everything a chip can. It's also very good at waking up auto-equipped cars. Otherwise it's a good plan you have in my opinion.

Diablo Predator or SCT XCalibrator 2. I haven't any experience with U/D pullies so I'll defer to those that do.
