Well Ive been putting off getting a new sporty car, as some of you may know

Im thinking(20-28k):
07 Mustang GT Coupe -Auto
06 Audi 1.8tQuattro wagon 6 speed
06 Pontiac GTO -Auto
04 Cobra(Only bone stock from 50+ year old drivers)

I just want somthing that will get me from A to B comfertably, very quickly and Quietly. For example, the Audi and a $1500 turbo upgrade kit will have it running 12.5 easy on race gas and street tires. But then the Car nut comes out in me and I start thinking about the other options. The thing is I dont want to mod this car much. I want it to be smooth and relaxed well above 100mph which I know the Audi and Pontiac will do, Im not so sure about either Mustang since I havent taken one to those speeds. I will be doing alot of trans dessert driving (in the summer too) in this car so reliability is a major concern.
I dont want a subaru or mitsubishi, but if there is any car in this price range, less than 3 years old that i missed let me know. It doesnt need to be a rocketship either(just somthing faster than a 14.5 in the 1/4.)

I'd go for the Audi. I had a Jetta wagon for awhile with the 1.8T/5spd and that car was a blast. The Audi would be great with the AWD, etc. Also, much more compatible with everyday driving, hauling, and taking passengers. BTW, the Audi is now a 2.0T with the rest of the VW/Audi cars. Already start with more power and there is more potential too.

My old wagon:

I would go for the Pontiac because of it's drivability. It is by far the most comfortable cruising car I have ever driven in (with any kind of horsepower, at least). The seats are extremely comfortable, the cabin is QUIET, the car isn't even very loud with it's 6.0L but rather has a low, low tone that just slightly vibrates your body as one passes by. Oh, and you really got to sit in the back seats ... you will be blown away.

Oh and 400hp/400tq, lol.

(However getting an automatic would be upsetting , get an 05 to save money, put on a shifter, modding done )

Yeah I heard a aftermarket shifter relly improves the feel of the Pontiac's shifter, I played with that clunky shifter for like 2 seconds at the dealer and said, "forget that".

The 07 Mustang, it has the room, plenty of power for 100+ cruising and the gas mileage isnt that bad.

07 Mustang FTW!

Is there a specific reason why you want an automatic?
