Im interested in installing a procharger system in my stang, i believe its the one with 10lb of boost, first question, what fuel should i be running 87 octane, 94 octane, and if its the ladder will the 94 have any effect on the hp levels, and if it doesent what kind of hp can i get if i wanted to tune the motor to run only 94, also i was told this system will produce 180 hp a total of 480, im also planning to get an intake and exhaust, any ideas? company and price would be helpful. and what do you thing the car will be producing when its all said and done, 500-520hp?!?!

thanks for all your help, any other ideas let me know!

The Procharger 9psi system comes with a tune that is for 91 octane and up. I just did a roush that put down 443 rwhp on a 94 deg day . the average is 430 on a base tune.
I am testing the D1SC to see how much the stock motor will take , right now it is right at 500 rwhp at 13psi with 93 octane and stock pump without the flowcharger.

Check out LFP, they have the best prices on Procharger and even put a package deal together for me that included a few other parts. I didn't want the Diablo Tuner, so they custom Tuned an XCal 2 Tuner for me and I love it, very simple to use and the tunes are tight.

Bassani has the Best sound bar none, top of the line product with a deep rumbled mucsle car tone and very little to no resonation in the car.

I dyno'd when I first bought the car after I installed the C&L Induction System w/Tuner, Bassani Axle Back, and Bassani Mid Pipes with Cats and picked up 57rwhp.

Yep, be ready to have it tuned. Mine ran/runs like crap right now despite the smooth install. Getting it tuned this weekend though!

Lol, still saving up my pennies for the install, I spent it all on the kit. I'm still debating on who to install it, I'll post when I make my decision.

How much for the kit? What setup did you opt for?

Shopping seriously for a blower, now.

I think the ProCharger retails for around 5K but DAMN is it a good kit.

The 9psi kit comes with 39# injectors, a Flow Charger fuel pump voltage booster, K&N race intake, a new electric fan and shroud, and everything you need to install the kit. I was very impressed with how smooth the kit went in, but like I said, have a tuner tune the thing for you.

Ouch! I can get the Vortech (I know, no intercooler) for $3K and change. I plan to run conservative boost, so cost matters since the additional power won't be up there (I'll keep it at around 430-450hp). Don't want to lay down $5K and then scale back the boost for driveability/longevity.

May have to be Vortech, then...

I don't like the looks of the Vortechs all that much. Too cluttered. The intercooled ProCharger kit looks really clean and if you have a custom front fascia, the intercooler looks great in the opening. I'll have to post some pics this weekend!

If you're going budget over performance I can understand your decision though.

More a balance of the two, rather than overly budget concerned. I think that Procharger probably offers greater potential, but it's potential I would be nervous of using.

I never noticed any appreciable appearance difference, either. Maybe I'll go try and see the units first hand. I like the easy-on, easy-off nature of the Procharger - if the blower breaks my engine or tranny, I'm ok paying for my own mistake, but I don't need the hassle potential fights with blinkered dealers who won't fix valid, non-blower related, warranty issues (I currently have both the skipping Shaker AND fuel repelant tanks!) cos they see a blower and think that voids all warranty cover!

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. There's nothing more valid than the voice of experience.
