Some of you may have been following this link on Corral:

http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?p=4651963#post4651963

If you read towards the bottom, you'll see the gauges that 2 guys have bought for a really good price, look good, and seem easy to install..

Here is a current auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7966605685&category=43952

What do you all think?

I bought them and installed them a couple of weeks ago. They are GREAT. No complaints whatsoever. Easy install. (I tapped into the power from one of the lightbulbs).

1. do you remove the stock bulbs?

2. when you say "tapped in the power of one of the bulbs", you mean using the metal contacts on either side of the lightbulb opening?

3. can you get a day and night pic up for us?

I left them ALL in because I still wanted to be able to read the odometer, trip meter, dummy lights. No problems at all with this.

That's exactly what I did. I got the idea from this thread (with pictures!!!) on corral.net

It's getting near-dark here (CST) so I'll go shoot them in just a bit.

Edit: I did deviate a bit from the corral.net instructions. First I tried soldering the + and - leads to the socket the lightbulb fits into but even with flux I couldn't make the connection satisfactorily

Next, I stuck the wires into the socket on either side of the bulb and crammed the bulb back inside the socket so that the bulb held the wires from coming out and created a solid connection. This seems to be the way to go if you don't want to tap into the dimmer switch (I didn't).

I didn't drill any holes for the control module. Instead I tucked it all behind the dash and let it hang so that I can reach up under the steering wheel and grab the module to adjust it if need be.

Ok, here are the nighttime pics:
Inside shot at nighttime
Outside shot at nighttime

On the inside shot the gauge faces look grainy but in real life it's a solid green. The brightness is about 50% because 100% was blinding. At 100% you don't even need to turn on your headlights.

One thing I've noticed is that with my aluminum ASP underdrive pullies at idle (650rpm for me) the gauges dim a bit then brighten to full glow at about 800rpm. It's not a drastic change, but noticable if you are looking for it.

I'm glad I bought the gauges. Given the choice I'd do it again!

Let me know if I can help you out any more.

Yeah Jason, look at Stanger007's pics on the links above.

What I like is that the day appearance looks REALLY STOCK...nice and clean.

These are only $28 incl shipping and REALLY easy to put on.
