If you can, try to find a shop in your area that has a fuel injector test and cleaning stand (you'll have to call around). They'll be able to tell you which injectors are worth keeping and which (if any) need to be replaced. It could save you a mound of money. You can get injector seal kits from most parts stores to replace the O-rings. The NAPA stores that also have machine shops usually have this test stand. Good Luck.
Yes - upper intake out of the way. And a fuel line disconnect tool will make it a bit easier although some folks find they can move the fuel rail enough (remove the 2 bolts on either side) without disconnecting. Be sure you have new orings on both ends - and clean/check to be sure no oring (or part of one) gets stuck up inside the rail or in the intake.
You have to tske the upper intake off, so the STB will probably have to come off to give you the room to do that. You might be able to work around it depending on the shape of the MM brace, but it is probably more trouble than it is worth.
Once the upper intake is off, changing the valve covers is easy. You might as well do it while you are there.

The oil fill cap is in a slightly different position on most of the Ford racing EFI valve covers. It is closer to the rear of the engine, by maybe 3/4 inch. There are dozens of valve covers and they are all a littl different. DO NOT get the tall valve covers unless you are looking for a major headache clearing the intake manifold.
