I have a set of injectors I'm planning on selling, but I'd like to make sure they're fine first. I know the top o-rings are missing, and one needs the pintle cap. My question is about the 2nd injector from the left on the top row...it's missing the yellow ring above the o-ring on the botton part of the injector.

Will that hurt anything? I don't know where it's at. Can I buy a new one?

Fuel injector seal kits with 2 O rings and a pintle cap (Borg-Warner P/N 274081) are available at Pep Boys auto parts. Cost is about $2.74 per kit.. The following are listed at the Borg-Warner site ( http://www.borg-warner.com ) as being resellers of Borg-Warner parts:

http://www.partsplus.com/ or http://www.autovalue.com/ or http://www.pepboys.com/ or http://www.federatedautoparts.com/

Most of the links above have store locators for find a store in your area.

Use motor oil on the O rings when you re-assemble them & everything will slide into place. The gasoline will wash away any excess oil that gets in the wrong places and it will burn up in the combustion chamber.

The pintle caps fit either injectors with a pin sticking out the injector end or 4 with more tiny holes in the injector end

If you need o-rings and pintle caps too, you might as well replace them all. If your selling them it might make them look a little better too. Check out the links below.

I would go ahead and replace the orings and pintle caps now if it were me. I replaced all the orings, pintle caps and filter screens inside the injectors when I did my TFS intake swap. Got a kit off of ebay and it worked great. Cost me like $15 for all the orings, pintle caps and filter screens.

Actually the ones I got were from the same guy that caseywan linked to. Worked great.

Red tops are 34# if I'm not mistaken.

Guys, thanks for the info, HOWEVER, that's not what I'm talking about. Look at the picture. On the bottom side ABOVE the brown o-ring, there are yellow types of rings (kinda like foam or something). One of the injecters is missing that YELLOW ring, not the normal o-ring. As far as I remember, last time I replaced o-rings and pintle caps, those yellow rings did not come in the kit.

They (red tops) are 30 lb injectors.

90 Red LX: I'll PM you tomorrow...gotta go to work now.

Anyone know where I could get these flow tested? I've read about people getting their injectors flow tested, but it didn't say where. I called a speed shop and they didn't know, but suggested maybe the dealership.

Also, if someone could actually look at the picture instead of giving an auto response. I'm not talking about the o-ring kits or pintle caps, I'm talking about the yellow things above the lower o-ring. Where do I get the yellow things? Maybe I'll go ask autozone.

The ring is actually a teflon or hard plastic spacer. There may be one in each one of the O ring kits I listed.

Jrichker: Thanks. I've bought the borg warner o-ring kits before and they don't have the yellow spacers; the ones at autozone don't have the spacers either. They suggested going to the dealership. They didn't know where to get them flow tested either.
