i am putting a 1998 explorer upper and lower intake on my 1987 gt and wondering if I'm able to use my stock rails and injectors from my stock intake. Or do I need to do something different? Also going to attempt to do an egr delete. Some help with that would be great

I guess what I mean is, does the stock rails and injectors from the 1987 intake fit in the same location for the explorer intake? And do you know anything about doing an egr delete

Everything will physically bolt up the same as the stock intake manifold. Is the rest of the emissions system already removed or is it all still intact?

Everything bolts up like said and you actually need the mustang rails. The explorer rails won't work. The soft line fittings are in the wrong location. If you have the explorers injectors they are slightly better than the stock units

Are you doing an EGR delete because the intake doesn't support it? or be because you want to?

If the latter, just leave the EGR intake as to properly delete it will require a tune.

If the intake doesn't have the EGR provision, then just block off the EGR ports at the cylinder head when you install the lower intake and unplug the EGR. your check engine light will be on, but it will disable the EGR function in the computer.
