injectors on 05+gt

your injectors are EV-6 bosch/ford units. the EV-1's you have need adapter plugs. they also are larger diameter then the EV-6. they will fit fine but tilt a little. the spray pattern will be targeted more toward the port wall than the CMC plates. i use EV-1 30# in my 5.4 3v. unless you are adding a blower 42# is way too large. but they will fit. also the fuel rails won't screw back down. you need to make adapter plates to bolt them to. it's not very critical as your rails clip at the top so leakage/blow off is not an issue.

yeah i was planning on a supercharger for my 01, but know im looking to get a new mustang and supercharge that, i already have the 42lb injectors and a 90mm maf so i was just wondering if i could use them on the next gen or if i should sell these and get new ones

this link says the 5.4 and 4.6 has different injectors. i have not yet read the other links. this thread had some good information for people to be aware of. i will give the others a read also. hopefully the 4.6's dont use the same injectors. i have not yet heard of an injector failing on a stang, hopefully we are safe...

EDIT: i read the rest, it does seem to be a common problem on the 5.4 3V motors. i didnt read anywhere that the 4.6 3V was affected.
