inline 6 to v8 swap

What is the basic idea for this. I may of founda car I might buy, and it has an inline 6, I'll probably be replacing with a carbed 302. What all would I have to change? I figured I'd have to get a new tranny anyway (it has a 3 spd). What all is involved in swapping it out? Crossmembers? Motor mounts? welding? cutting.... about a estimated price for all of this? anything.... Thanks for the help!

Hey, thanks for the site man. Sorry about the question bein beat to death. As for the posts, I was on the 94-95 forums for a lil over a year when I had my 95 GT last year. Now I'm looking for a classic car to keep. Thanks guys.
