Inline fuse keeps popping

Hi, new here!

I installed a 3g alternator that has a large mega fuse and also a smaller (30a) inline fuse on a red wire. That small inline 30a fuse keeps popping.

Any idea on what could cause this?

What does the red wire do? There is no plain red wire in the alternator wiring.
