Insalled Electric Speedo But Cruise Dosnt Work?

installed my tko 600,installed the florida 5.0 cluster and spliced in the electric speedo to the existing plug that the cruise control is hooked up too(vss),everything is hooked up the same exept that the speedo is spliced in?....am i missing somthing?....all i can think of is the speedo is interrupting the cruse signal?....worked before?,anyone have an idea what i missed?

Easy way to find out....disconnect the wires to the speedo. If the cruise works again, that's your issue

When you split a sine wave signal, you lower the amplitude of the sine wave. That signal is used by the ECU as well as the cruise, so the cruise control module may not be getting a strong enough signal now. I used the dedicated electronic speedometer plug on the passenger side of the trans for the signal to my autometer speedometer. The stock VSS is going to my Holley ECU.

thats what i was thinking also,would you happen to know how to wire it to my ecu to make it work?....i have it tied to the right side of tranny also?...thanks for the replies.

If your car has mass air, the stock VSS will already be wired to the ECU. For the speedo, just used the passenger side plug on the transmission and leave the stock VSS wiring alone. You'll just have to look up which side is + and - on the passenger plug.

ya its mass air,and thats how i have it wired in...?..speedo works perfectly?....hmm?....i think im going to have disconnect it and see if the cruise works again i guess to start...
