I'm going to be honest.. I've been reading the forums and I am still kinda lost trying to figure out where gears go or where this or that goes... does anyone have like a noob online map or something so I can understand some of this crap.. My friend told me to just open the hood and figure it out but I still dont know what stuff is called.. LOL.. anyone help?

If you're talking about actually learning to work on your car yourself, I think just trying to figure it out is a bad idea if your Mustang is your only set of wheels.. even if it's not; putting in a $50 part the wrong way can cause credit-card-busting damage to the engine or transmission. I'd say get some real training somewhere first. In my case, I take the wuss way out. I wait until my credit card is recovered enough, then pay someone else to do it. :p I can change a tire, change the oil, pull out the interior panels and spraypaint them, and that's about it! But like Chingon said, I know a lot about what different parts do from reading Mustang magazines. Just don't ask me to install them.

My personal favorite method is to Google for it and then ask on here. I personally don't mind going outside with my camera to take a picture of a part that may be in question, and I'm sure there are others on here who would do the same (that is assuming we know where it is! :D).
