I'm having a tough time deciding on what to do with the insides of the doors. Like to get everything all done while it's partially apart...

Anyways, here's the green the car is being painted. Sorry no good shots of the inner doors painted...

The painter went ahead and painted and cleared the insides of the doors to match since he thought it would be "cool". I'm debating keeping this or switching it to charcoal black like the rest of the interior panels (with the standard black door panels).

Opinions?? Please vote!

Vote - Match exterior

My preference is to match the painted interior surfaces with the exterior color.

If you have it matched like car_kent, that looks good. My nighbor has his coupe painted by MAACO years ago and they painted the doors only in the same light blue metallic, did not look good at all

Outside of the weatherstripping needs to be body color... inside of there needs to be interior color (black, is good)

Could be interesting with the green/black. Do you think you will like this colour combo ?

The doors and dash should be the color of the body. Just my 2 cents.

I'm leaning towards the black/charcoal black. I really like the shot of Kent's car, but the convertibles have that small piece that carries the color back into the quarter panels. I think the fastback may look a little funny with body color inside.

Does anyone have any interior shots of fastblacks or coupe with black interiors and body color doors/dash?

Thanks!!

My opinion:
If all of the interior panels match, and the upholstery and carpet compliment the body color, I say stick with the green.
If only the doors are painted, or the upholstery/carpet just don't look right with the body color, go black.

Edit: I'm going body color on mine, but it was a decision I made well before paint, and the upholstery color was a large factor.

unless the dash is body color also then go ahead and paint it the proper color now but if it wraps around then leave it alone. make sure you dont put on paint too heavy if you paint it though since the rest is fresh it could cause it too wrinkle up on you

That looks really good on your car!

I'm worried it might be just a bit too much green in mine...

Bullitt- Thanks I have received lots of compliments about it at cruise nights and shows. It makes it different then everyone else. I also think your green is way more subtle then my blue, so I don't think it would be too much personally, now if your car was yellow or something then yeah.

Pyroman- The seats are Scat ProCar Rally's, I LOVE THEM!!! They are very snug and really hold you in place. They now make a matching cover for the rear seats which I will be doing this winter. I have to say they are not cheap, and I only was able to buy them because I bought them used off a Stangnet member who took them out of his 65.

I haven't painted the lower interior panels yet, so might shut the door in and see how things look... problem is the interior is currently tan and it's a little hard to gauge without the seats being the right color...

I think they look good matched. my baby was in an accident and when we repainted the new door (somehow only the one door was harmed) we werent paying attention and painted the inside not realizing the other doors werent like that(still green interior body is black now). personally i like how it looks, sometimes mistakes can turn out to be usefull after all. just gotta paint the other 3 to match it now.

on your car i'd go with the charcoal black. i don't think the green will look right with the rest of the interior

I've already started painting everything charcoal black, sadly work has sent back to Dubai yet again! Picking the project back up at the end of the month.

Hopefully by then the painter will have made some more progress.......
