Gotta love that loop style carpet , it's ripped up right now and I plan to replace with a pile cut carpet which should hold color and look better IMO. Windows are tinted now also

The previous owner of my car had the interior doors and inner quarter panels painted body color, but there were also about 7 different shades of turquoise in the interior and overall it looked like crap (dash pad was one color, seats were 2 colors, carpet was another color, headliner was another color, dash was another color, etc). So I repainted mine and and going with a black & grey interior.

But, having said that, if your interior color scheme goes along with the exterior color, it may not be so bad as long as you have other stuff painted that color (like at the very least the inner quarter panels and the metal part of the dash/steering column and maybe even the console if you have one). Just so it's not like a color wheel in there.

Is there a company that makes pile carpet already cut for classic mustangs???

My Jams will be the color of the exterior in blue, but the side to the inside of the door gasket is the color of the rest of the interior; gray. I think it looks great. JMO

I found pile carpet at summit and jegs. Trim parts is the manufacturer, here's there site. Cheapest I've found is Summit $134

I am not exactly sure what color i am gonna paint my 65 but I even shaved the dash pad. I am not sure if it was a good idea now but I really like the clean look. I plan on painting the doors, dash and inside Quarters body color. I really like the way it looks!
