Install cost

I was quoted $475 to install front and rear seat skins (I supply the skins ) and $675 to install convertible top and seals (I supply parts). This seems high to me.

What have others payed and how much of a PITA is installing the seat skins? I am pretty sure that I don't want to tackle the top...

if you want quality work then you are going to pay for it.
I have been quoted between 400-750 to replace a top if I supplied all the parts
and to re upholster a seat was about 150-200 so about 600 for all of them sounds about right.

When I look at the costs:

- 650 seat skins
- 350 install for seats
- 350 top kit
- 600 install
- 150 carpet and kick panels
- 350 Rear end
- 300 catback

I am in for about 3000k... If the 1990 limited edition convertibles go for anything close to what blue book says they are worth, I am thinking of taking the proceeds from the green car plus the money I would have spent on resto, adding several grand and getting a 98 cobra conv...

I was quoted 450 for front and back seats in my 88gt. Switching from red to black and they supply the skins.
