ok so i went to test fit my saleen rear on my stang and it has a lip that hits the gas tank straps. If i cut them to fit around the tank straps, what holds the rear bottom up against the tank???
pics? before i sent it back, my old design concepts one had a bar-like thing molded into the rear part of the bumper to keep it from warping. there were no attaching points infront of the gas tank, just to the sides where it met the quarters
You are suppose to drill a small hole in the the saleen piece and use a tie wrap which will keep the bottom up against the gas tank. You can drill a small hole on the lip of the gas tank or try and fit the tie warp around the gas tank strap. This is how saleen did it.
