Alright, I got the Aviator fuel pump installed and running. I have a question though. I used the stock bucket and float, just changed out the fuel pump. The aviator pump had a huge filter/sock I don't know what you call it attached to the bottom of the pump. I tried and tried to get the pump in there with it attached to it but couldn't get it far enough into the bucket so I just took it off. Will this be a problem down the road? The bucket itself has a sock/filter on it and the bucket wasn't really that dirty with 42,000 miles on it. Please tell me this will be ok and nothing bad will get sucked up into the lines. If not does anyone know a way to correct this because the aviator sock/filter is way too big for the stock bucket. Thanks.

bump....did a little more research and I what I'm talking about is the strainer on the actual pump. Is it ok if I leave this off?
