My wife got me a MAC Racers Choice shifter today. I installed it and the throw and action is much better.

I like the short throw, the spring action is nice, not so notchy. I like the location of the handle, I am tall and do not have to reach so far. The rubber boot is quite thick combnine that with the stronger springs and it takes more force to shift.
