I am really glad I bought this these pieces. Not only do they look great, but like many others I also felt a little extra kick, expecially from 3000 - 5500 range. I felt nothing really from my Steeda pullies, but I can honestly say there's a few more horses pulling my stang after these mods. It's nothing like the 4.10s, but it was notceable. Of course, the true test is when I hit the track. Should be interesting though because I've yet to hit 100 mph. If I hit 100.5-101, then I'll know the TB/Plenum is the for-real-deal.
I know the peak hp/tq increase on this mod is supposed to be in the neighborhood of 10 rwhp/rwtq, but there must be a few areas under/over the peaks that have greater gains than these amounts. That's the only way it would explain me actually "feeling" some power.
My intake note changed a tad as well. Little more aggressive. No whistliing either!!!
The hardest part of the install was removing the IAC and PCV rubber hoses! Those things were just baked on! Also, I can't possibly imagine using the stock air intake and trying to attach it to a 75mm TB. It was very difficult to attach it to my 70mm. And I even heated it up a little to make it more flexible! Maybe C & L knows this and just wants to make more people buy their intake pipe!
Working in the engine bay today reminded me to never-ever try installing headers on my car unless I have a lift. My sore back & knicked up hands actually reminded me of this!!!
Anyway, I'm 90% sold so far on this mod. We'll see for sure in a month or so when the tracks re-open here in the Buckeye State.
