Well, today was another one of those boring days. I looked at my pile-o-parts and grabbed my Steeda CAI and headed to the garage. Now I know most of you guys despise CAI kits, but this one doesn't incorporate the 90* bend in front of the MAF and comes with a heat shield. My point in wanting one was mostly to clean up the engine bay. Also, the way it is mounted, I think I may benefit a little over the stock airbox when I'm at the track and have the passengerside headlight out.

The kit is very well made and uses high-quality parts. My only complaint is with the instructions:

- The instructions tell you to use a rubber plug that comes with the kit to plug a hole. I had the plug, but there wasn't a hole to plug
- The instructions tell you how to mount your MAF to thier bracket, but didn't tell you that the screen had to be removed. Also, the gasket that was sent didn't work too well. I ended up using RTV to get a good seal that I was comfortable with.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the kit. It looks much nicer under the hood. I don't have any "SOTP" info because as I was finishing up, we started getting blasted with snow here in central-Indiana and my car doesn't get subjected to that sort of treatment :D

I have one also, but did'nt run into any of those thing's your talking about .

I think it work's well for what it is,but mine will be coming off this summer for the s/c to go in it's place.

Also take some metal polish and rub the hell out of the shield , it make's it look alot better IMO.
