well my clutch cable about snapped on me the other day. so i went to ford and ordered a new OEM one ($78.00)....the clutch cable i had on there to begin with was a crappy BBK one....it also made my clutch alot harder to push too......

well i pulled the old one off the car....there were no kidding like 10 strands holding it together!!! i nstalled the new ford cable.....WOW!!! my clutch feels alot more springy and smooth....it used to egage about an inch off the floor, now it engages about 2/3 of the way off the floor...its alot better....

i have the BBK billet quadrant, i need to buy the firewall adjuster to fine tune it....

Cool.

If the BBK quadrant was designed for an adjustable cable, it might make the cable too tight when you sandwich the adjuster in between the firewall and the cable end fitting, especially as the clutch wears. The cable gets tighter as the clutch wears. Get a good firewall adjuster that can screw in really close to the firewall, like the Steeda Adjuster. If you still run out of adjustment you will have to switch to a quadrant made for a cable adjuster, or the Steeda double-hook, which is made for both.
