Had a Pro 5.0 shifter in the 91 donor car for the 67. I thought it was nice. I was wrong...

This thing is SWEET! Shifting into 5th without my shoulder blade loosing contact with the seat, smooth, yet very positive, and very short!

Only thing I don't like about it is it's too pretty a piece of hardware to hide under a shift boot!

Got the black ball shifter with yellow "rally stripes" though, so it adds a little color to the black interior.

Well built, easy install, highest endorsement! I give it THREE thumbs up!

I wish MGW made shifters for Z's, I'd have one yesterday! Best shifter you could EVER put in a Stang, by far. Glad you're happy with it! I honestly don't think I've ever heard a single negative review on MGW's. And you're right about the pretty hardware, I actually left mine uncovered for 2 weeks while a friend was redoing my OEM shift boot to fix a tear. It looked great!

I dont think I can waste the money on one when my B&M doesnt cause me any grief. I like trying new things and making improvements though.

My 97 GT had a MGW 1st gen- RIP

My current 95GT has a B &M ripper shifter..

it feels the same as the MGW. I wouldn't pay money to switch.

I had a B&M Ripper on my T5 for years and liked it. I only switched because I swapped to a TKO600 and the shifter from the T5 doesn't fit the TKO's. I had to get a new shifter and with the TKO swap it's positioned 5/8" more forward than a stock shifter and the MGW allowed me to position/rotate the handle to where I liked it best.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

I've always preferred the B&M Ripper, and that's what I have on my 3550 now. The MGW is about the only shifter I haven't used, and I really want to try one someday. My least favorite is probably the Hurst or the TriAx.
