Hey guys I got my pump and Im trying to syphon the gas out of my tank. My tank should be full or very close to it. When I put the rubber clear tube down it feels like its hitting something, it wont go fully into the tank. Is there some type of metal peice guarding from people syphoning your gas?

Btw its a 93 5.0 LX.

I'm pretty sure there is. If not, then there is a bend in the tubing that has ridges that will catch a hose. Dude, you're gonna kill all your braincells huffing out 15 gallons of gas. Disconnect the pressure fitting up front and start the FP running. Preferably you have placed a container to catch all the gas. Dangerous though.

My humble opinion is put some hydraulic jacks+planks under the tank and lower it full. This saves you a lot of pain and suffering.

Tank is lowered and empty, fuel pump is out having issues fitting aftermarket one into the rubber gasket.
