Installing an extra keyless remote, help!

I bought the proper keyless entry remote, which is my second one, I plan on giving to my wife, I do i get the keyless remote working, something about the jumpers in the drivers side back rear panal in the trunk...Well I can't find anything that has jumpers on it, If anyone has done this and know's could you help me out?

put your key in the ignition sit down and close all the doors. turn the key from off to the on position (not ACC on or start, inbetween the two) 8 times in a row fairly fast. the eighth time you turn it on the doors will lock and unlock or unlock then lock (depending on their state when you get in the car). at this point hit the lock button on every remote you want to program to your car. turn it of take the key out and test your remotes they should work.

if you don't get your doors to lock and unlock after 8 times you either are turning it not far enough or too far or you aren't doing it fast enough.

hm, will this work with any aftermarket system?

i dont know about aftermarket, i know this works on the ford OEM system.

LOL this will be helpful for me. I lost my keyless remote and my keys...they floated away in the ocean!

Gah, I meant any aftermarket remote, not system. Sorry

yeah go to ebay buy all the remotes you want as long as they say ford on them they can be programmed in that manner.

I gotta ask man, how the heck did you figure that one out? I would have been forever getting it right if it were me.

Those instructions are in your owners manual. Don't forget that you have to program all of them at once, even any that were already working.
